| alas, my car has gone the way of the junk yard. the timing belt went for the second time in two years on friday. wasn't worth repairing. i have no car anymore. it is somewhere in a junk yard now. alas. hark. the pain. school has started. it's going well. political science is easy, as i expected. taking three math courses; abstract algebra, discrete math, and real analysis. if anyone understands discrete, namely graph theory, let me know. could use some help on ajacency matrices. if any of you know what those are. abstract is going really well though. discrete requires left field thinking. not normal at all. started working out at the school gym. getting in shape on the rowing machine and tredmill. endurance has improved greatly. can see it when i play dodgeball. do that every thursday night. good group of people. the weird kids of college. we tried to convince people walking by us to play dodgeball instead of going to the lame frat party. it's not even an official frat, which makes it even more lame. but no one listened. their loss. hurray for heavy metal. gets me through the day. and also comic books. discovered a really cool star wars series, legacy. if you're cool you'll check it out. bryan was here over the weekend. helped him work the booth at the awakening festival. was good to see him. saw him and carry dance. that was glorious. had guennis from the tap finally. to steal a line from the red stripe commercials, hurray beer. it's good. sorry about few updates. my life is pretty mundane. i spend too much money on comic books. but it's so much fun. i need a cheap hobby. i always pick the expensive ones. collectable card games, warhammer, now comics. what's next? oh yeah, i got back into warhammer again. that could lead to bad things. how are people out there anyways?

| i guess it's been a long time since i updated my xanga. school finished. that was nice. five week courses aren't fun. but i did well in it, so that is nice. the family and i went to florida for a week. that was good and fun. saw relatives. went to the beach. even did a little four wheelin. been back for two weeks now. just been chilling with amy and seeing friends off as they go back to school. school starts on monday. i was distraught a minute ago when i read an email from umw saying that they're screwing with my perfect commuter parking. leave it to them to screw things up. germanna is way better run than umw. but hey, life isn't fair right. on the brightside, industrial, viking metal, and comic books are very wonderful.

| well, things have been going since i last updated. most of my life has been taken up by linear algebra. i've been taking it over five weeks. so every class is the equivalent of a week of class. it's over tomorrow morning. well, whenever i finish the final tomorrow i guess. can't wait for that to happen. have tutor training early next week and then florida. went to a wedding with amy, andrew, sam, jess, and the hintons. that was fun. also went to a ballgame with ian. and the nat's won. fancy that. one downer about this month has been the number of deaths/slash bad things effecting a lot of my friends. not cool.

| so, for those of you who didn't know, i had a birthday on thursday. i now have pretty much no legal age restrictions remaining. hurray. doesn't really feel different now, other than the fact that i have now had alcohol. the first time in my life tasting it was on thursday night. it was, we'll say, interesting. bar life doesn't seem too different from the concert crowd i fit into. reminded me a lot of concert halls. friday had people over for a cookout. an epic badmitton game was held. grand and joyus. tim and sam are pretty crazy when they play it. also, starbucks now has orange mocha frappachinos, so we went there and saluted derrik zoolander by having one. they're not that great unfortunately, so i don't recomend it to anyone. then we watched spinal tap, the best mockumentary ever. period. no question. if you haven't seen it, and are familiar with rock music, especially in the late seventies and early eighties, go and rent it now.
